God is tilling the soil of our lives
For some, we have been in a season that’s looked and even felt stagnant in some regards.
Where we used to overflow and move in power, it’s been quiet and even dry.
There’s been separation and even isolation.
Little looks the same.
God is tilling the soil.
Tilling:
– to prepare and use land for growing crops
– turning the soil to control for weeds and pests and to prepare for seeding
Tilling soil improves its quality allowing for healthier crop. But to till the soil is to agitate it, unsettle it and allows the weeds and impurities to be removed in preparation for planting.
The separation, isolation and displacement is coming to an end.
A grace for new favour, new roads and rivers, new ventures and adventures.
New dreams or the fulfillment of “old” ones in new ways.
God is readying you to receive the new.
As we transition into June, many will see and experience the new or birthing of the new.
Fulfillment is here.
So let the soil do its work. And let the farmer do His.
God is indeed tilling the soil.
Matthew 13:23 ESV
As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.”
Isaiah 28:23-26 MSG
Listen to me now. Give me your closest attention. Do farmers plow and plow and do nothing but plow? Or harrow and harrow and do nothing but harrow? After they’ve prepared the ground, don’t they plant? Don’t they scatter dill and spread cumin, Plant wheat and barley in the fields and raspberries along the borders? They know exactly what to do and when to do it. Their God is their teacher.
Ezekiel 36:9 ESV
For behold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown.
